Stepping on the Water and Moving Forward in God's Call - Part 2

Continued from Stepping and Moving, Part 1.

Though sometimes our faith is weak, we're trusting God that everything will work out according to His plan and in His timing, not ours.  We're confident in Him, and so we keep moving forward, and we're thankful for His grace in it all, even when we do get it wrong.

Since returning to Hervey Bay last Wednesday we've had the opportunity to catch up with Pastor Bal Ram Sami (Hervey Bay Church of Christ), and with Michael Kerns who is visiting from America and is the Academic Dean for the Master's program at Fiji Bible College.  He was the main lecturer during my studies there, and it was great to be able catch up with him and fill him in on our journey, and to be encouraged by him to continue following God's call on our lives.

It was also a privilege to be invited by Pastor Sam Yerro to speak at Fraser Coast Baptist Church's Multicultural Bible Study group on Friday night.  It had been several months since I'd last spoken there and it was a real blessing to fellowship with them again and to spend time discussing the passage from Matthew 14:22-33 about Peter walking on the water.  This group has also expressed great support for Rayleen and I, and for what God is doing in our lives.  Thank you so much to all at the Multicultural group.

Almost everywhere we go there is encouragement and support, and we want to thank all of you who are with us in this journey as we continue to discover God's path and seek to follow Him.

Before I wrap this up, I have to mention that we're now in the process of finishing all the packing and we're hiring a truck from this afternoon (Monday) until Wednesday to take everything down to the storage shed that we've hired in Toowoomba.  We're then planning to leave the Bay as a family on Thursday, then set up camp again in the caravan and begin looking for a house to rent, until we're in a better financial position to purchase another one (God willing).

We have to give a really big "Thank you" to Lindsay Ginn who has very generously offered to drive the truck for us as he now has his MR license (Hopefully it will be good practice for when their bus is ready :) ).  This means that we can hire a larger truck than would have been possible otherwise.  So hopefully there won't be any issues with fitting everything (or at least all the large items and bulk of the boxes) on the truck.  I'll probably be driving our Prado down as well with smaller items.

So far it is looking good with the contract that is on this house, as we've now progressed passed the building and pest inspections, but it won't reach the unconditional phase until 12th September.  They have until then to actually see the house in person (they're from Tasmania) and give the final approval.  Please keep praying with us for the best outcome.

Thanks again to all of you for all your support.  We'd loved to hear from you, so please keep in touch, and if you ever visit Toowoomba it would be great to get together.

Until next time, God bless.

Mike
