In the last blog update I told you that I had started going through the process of applying to become a worker with AccessTheStory (ATS). After sending off my application, and being interviewed (with Rayleen) by a panel from ATS, I'm really excited to say that I've been accepted as a "provisional worker" with AccessTheStory. WOOHOO!!!
What does that mean?
Well, this is the next step towards becoming a full-time worker with ATS and now allows me to officially begin the process of presenting what God is laying on my heart as I join the vision of ATS, and begin to seek partnerships with those who see the value of this ministry and would like to share in this vision by teaming with me through prayer and financial support.
This vision can only happen through God's wisdom, strength and provision, so I ask each of you to pray that God would continue to guide us in this journey, and that He would provide the wisdom and resources to step out and do what He is calling me to do. I know that many of you have been praying already, and I'm so thankful for each one of you.
As well as praying, I also invite you to prayerfully consider whether God is asking you to contribute financially. This would free up my time, releasing me to commit the required time to fulfil the mission that God is calling me to.
Imagine young people getting excited by God's Story.
Imagine an environment where they can't get enough of God and His Word.
Imagine an environment where they can't get enough of God and His Word.
Imagine young lives being changed; transformed by His Story.
Imagine God's Word being accessible, understood,
and even desired and enjoyed by youth.
and even desired and enjoyed by youth.
Imagine young people sharing His Story through theirs.
Imagine the next generation living out God's Word.
Imagine the next generation living out God's Word.
Imagine AccessTheStory!

Urangan Baptist Church have kindly asked me to preach at their Sunday morning service (Thanks Ps Sam), and we've also received permission to use the hall at Hervey Bay Church of Christ for an afternoon tea at 3pm (Thanks Ps Bal). These two events will be the first time when I will officially present the vision face-to-face, so if you're around it would be great time to catch up.
We're also planning on attending Hervey Bay Baptist Church on the Sunday evening, so we might see you there.
If you've been following our blog or Facebook page, then you'll already know that part of the vision is to see Verge come to Queensland, beginning in Hervey Bay in the September/October school holidays. But there is more to this than just that. I'm excited about being able to share more in the near future.
Thanks again for your prayers and the support you've been showing us along this journey. There are even more exciting times ahead. Will you come with us?
Blessings in Christ,
Mike
