It's official. We're currently unemployed.
Rayleen and I finished up at Hervey Bay Christian Academy last week, and this also marked the end for Hannah and Josh as students in this school.
Thanks to the staff and students for making our final days at the Academy so special, beginning with a going away party that my class threw for me the Friday before, as they have been away at Convention all last week.
We received so many cards from students, and it's obvious that they will miss us as much as we will miss them.
Continuing to pray for the Academy, the leadership, staff and students, for God's guidance, blessing and grace for the future.
Although the week was cut short with the trip to Dreamworld being cancelled due to bad weather, it's good to have Hannah safely back from Convention. And she was then able to join us for a great night with Lindsay and Christine and their "Ginn Gang's" Dinner / Concert on Saturday night.
It's great to see how they've stepped out in faith and are following God's calling on their lives, and I was personally really encouraged to see how God is providing for them. We trust with them that He will continue to provide for all their needs, especially for the bus. Lindsay and Christine have been a great blessing to us over recent months, and I have been challenged by them to dream big in God.
We're also grateful for the encouragement, support and prayer that we've received from Hervey Bay Baptist Church over the last couple of months, including the send off and prayer from pastors Keith Stevenson and Ray Airosa yesterday.
I've completed the first Unit of ThePath training, have received Unit 2 and will be working on that in the coming week. We're also going to Toowoomba for a week to start the moving process, hire a storage shed, enrol Hannah and Joshua at Toowoomba Christian College, check out churches, houses and work opportunities, and whatever else needs to happen.
One more thing to report from this week is that we've received an offer and today signed a contract for the sale of our house and have taken this to the bank to start off the process of transferring our mortgage. Woohoo!
It's all happening. God is good and we are so grateful to Him for all He has done, is doing and will do in our lives. To Him be all the glory.
Thanks again everyone for your support and prayers, and for staying in touch.
Blessings In Christ,
Mike Smith

This is amazing ministry and I will always be praying for you. To Hannah, I've only known you a few weeks but it's sad to see you all leave. Alternatively it's amazing to see you continue your ministry elsewhere. I'll remember you. Thanks for the wonderful time. God Luck on your amazing journey.
ReplyDeleteThanks Joshua for your encouragement and prayers. It would be good to stay in touch with you and your family. We hope to see this ministry visit Hervey Bay with a "Verge" camp next year, so maybe you could come along. Thanks again and God bless. Mike Smith
